I will also mention that there is a store in NY city that is planning on
having a 70mm 3-D movie theater above it to show
a special 3-D animated short (3-D computer modelled, and Stereo 3-D all in

Could this be the new Disney store that is taking over the two floors of the
Italia store on 34th St. in Manhattan? Before he left Disney, Jeffrey
Katzenberg was really keen on stereo movies, and in fact, was really pushing
for Pixar to create a 3-D movie for them, but reasonable voices demured
explaining the problems of stereo projection in regular theaters. I remember
some years ago everyone was wowed by the stereoscopic version of Pixar's
KnickKnack projected in 3-D. It would certainly be a great short to run at
the Disney store.
