George in commenting said some people even saved these blanks. But
that reminded me that they can serve a useful purpose. David White
made a film identifier..a clever folding device with a close up lens
that clipped over the  right lens of the camera. As you loaded and
clicked off the blanks you had this device with your address on a card
clipped into it and it put your name and address in the blank film
area so the roll could never be lost at the processor...as when they
looked at pics to hope for some clue they would find your address. I
bought one of these at a swap meet that belonged to THE
REAL "McKay" (play on McCoy)..the columnist and author of stereo
books.
And had his name and address at Eutis FL in it still. BobH
