Have never measured or bracketed a single macro shot in my entire life.  I
only do what feels appropriate.  I have noticed that in my working range of
0.5 to 1x I can translate so that my common field of view is slightly
larger than 7-p, which is very convenient since I mount all my SLR shots in
7-p mounts.  Does any one understand what I am talking about?
