RANGEFINDER ATTACHMENTS

Hi,
A while ago several people mentioned the existence of
rangefinder-attachments that could be slipped in the flash shoe or attachted
to the camera in another way (magnet ?) 
I suppose it looks a bit like the rangefinder on the VM Personal-flash.
Unfortunatly, that one only covers close and mid-range and doesn't reach
beyond the flashes possibilities.
Since I 'm an absulute disaster in estimating distances, I badly need such a
divice for use with my Belplasca and Kodak.
Does anyone know where they can be found, has anyone such a gizmo for sale ?
