    Actually, the earths orbital motion is enough to produce a stereo
    effect.  I once saw a stereo pair that consisted of two images
    taken one day apart.  They were of Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all
    fairly close together.  The effect was to have the planets lined
    up in space in front of the background stars.  It was a wonderful
    image.
