Here, Here!

Yesterday's meeting was another terrific one, featuring two excellent shows: Louis King's
"Boston: Then and Now" detailed twenty years of change in our fair city, and Dick Koolish's
3-D primer on slide mounting. Also, Louis King gave a mini-demo of 3-D trick photography.

All the shows were wonderfully shot and meticulously presented by Jon Golden on his
Brackett Dissolver. Some notables in attendance included program moderator Ron Labbe, and
the well-recovered Paul Wing. (Peter Davis... sorry we missed each other!)

Each time I attend one of these meetings, I am reminded what a talented and kind group of
people stereophiles are. The people behind these meetings, such as Dick, Jon and a few
others, spend a great deal of time and energy organizing and running them, procurring
shows, donating equipment, securing venues, etc, and take little or no credit for their
contributions. They also are extremely generous in sharing their experiences and knowledge
regarding the "how-to's" of stereo photography, and are always willing to lend a hand with
a suggestion or a referal in the quest to improve our collective skills.

Our next meeting is in May, and it also promises to be excellent, with a wonderful display
of underwater stereo photography. Anyone who is within drivable distance will not be
disappointed in attending... it really does promise to be "Must See 3-D!"
