If one is going to end up sliding the pair around to get the best effect, why
doesn't one just do that first and be done with it?
That's actually what I've been doing, I don't bother with my template, it
seems to waste time. I've been fiddling with a setup to ease being able to
view my slide in 3D while adjusting the chips simultaneously. Seems to be
the quickest/bestest closed-loop feedback way of doing it. This technique
is a third technique which I now name "mount to the eyeball" technique. :-)

Seems easier to modify a template than to modify a camera.
