Concert photos

Hi all...
I'm back on the list after a long absence, feels good.
I recently had the opportunity to take photos at a concert by my favorite
group of all time (DEVO in case anyone's interested). I knew I didn't want
to use flash, which put me in the unenviable position of shooting wierd
lighting situations using available light only.
I was using two different camera rigs (film):
Twin SLRs
ViewMaster
I wanted to be able to easily and inexpensively make duplicates of the
pictures, so I decided to go with print film in both rigs. (That gave the
added advantage of the wide exposure latitide of print film). Both rigs
were loaded up with Fuji 400 that was pushed 2 stops to 1600. Even with
that the exposures ended up being a little wider and longer than I'd have
liked at times.
Results (so far):
ALL the negs have been printed (even the ViewMasters, into little
proof prints with 4 mini-pics per 4x6). So far everything looks great. I
don't notice ANY appreciable grain in the 4x6 prints (granted, prints
aren't a critical test of this).
I'm now waiting for DALE to dup the ViewMaster negatives onto slide stock
so I can mount them into personal reels.
I'd be interested in hearing what others have done under similar
circumstances and what the results have been.
Note to an old 3D pal: Try shooting THAT without a meter! :)
