list outage Sun/Mon

I just thought I'd let the list subscribers know that some power
re-routing on campus will isolate Bobcat from the internet
for up to 24 hours from around 7PM Sunday night thru 7PM
Monday night (hopefully it will be much shorter than that).

I will probably shut the list down sometime Sunday afternoon to
avoid creating disk space problems with queued but undeliverable
messages (mostly from the digest mailings). I'll restart it as
soon as I can on Monday.

It's not clear what will happen if messages are sent to the listserv
during that time - that is, whether they will bounce back to the
sender, or will be intercepted for later delivery en route.

This is a tad bit tricky since I will not be able to get to the
machine as long as the net connection is down (kind of a chicken
or egg problem).

Should you have questions (particularly during the outage) you
can try sending e-mail to the 3d moderators. Please don't send
messages to the list saying "Is something wrong" as those will
cascade out to everyone when the connection is re-established.
