LOCAL FAME

Topic: An invitation to submit slides for a local club competition.

How would individuals on this forum react to an invitation from members at
a club they do not belong to, to submit slides on loan to be included in a
local competition at another club (anyplace in the world). Are local events
too "narrow" for someone from another part of the world to be interested,
especially if the awards are limited only to "local fame"? At this stage,
this is only a hypothetical question.
