Fading - particularly ANSCO

|My experience similar to your. Have seen far more fading from E-2 and E-4
|ektachrome than from
|eastman motion picture reversal films of the same vintage.
Along these same lines, I wonder if anyone has access to any ANSCO
negatives/slides which have "gone bad". Apparently the pictures from
the 40's/50's/60's now almost universally have undergone differential
fading in the color layers, give a distinct orange hue. I know of one
person who took significant historical images in the early 50's concerning
local history (narrow gauge railroads) but will not show them because the
color is so bad. I'd be interested in obtaining some examples of these
to experiment with as far as digitization and color correction possibilities
are concerned. (was this Anscocrome/Anscocolor?)
Any information along these lines would be quite helpful, or possibly
a lead as to where I might find some samples to scan in.
THANKS!
