Technicolor?

Hello all,
Amid all this talk of Technicolor, I remembered that a bunch of the 50's
slides I have are labeled as "Technicolor" slides, from the Technicolor lab.
Now, as far as I know, no Realist could accomodate 3 film paths(!), so I
don't imagine it's the exact same thing... was Technicolor involved in other
consumer film stuff besides processing and mounting Realist-format slides?
Is there some processing similar to the motion picture Technicolor that was
done with these slides? They look very good, but don't have the vibrant color
of the Kodak slides.

Marvin Jones pointed out that the Technicolor equipment was unweildy, and MGM
cut costs in one particular instance by having a soundstage with "Gone with
the wind" on one side, and then swinging the cameras around where "Wizard of
Oz" was shooting on the other.
