George,

You're potentially opening a huge can of worms here, if not a
religious war.  I would say that compared with Windows 3.1, Windows 95
is more robust and faster.  Also, having all the software, drivers,
etc. pre-configured by the dealer is much MUCH better than trying to
do it yourself, so if they're doing that for Win95, take it.

Let's NOT get into a Windows vs. Mac vs. whatever-else-you-like
rathole.
