Lenticuar in NY continued...

Hello all,

Checked out the New York Camera Show this weekend, and everything was a bit
pricey. Someone was
offering a complete VM outfit for...$1300, for example. Didn't end up buying
anything, but
talked at length with Weber Leung, of Weber's 3-D photo, who had a booth set
up. He had
a couple of the Japanese Kodak lenticular single-use cameras, and a "Rittai
2",
which I've never heard of before... a four-lensed reloadable consumer jobbie
with plastic lenses for
$25.00! No flash, but with a hot shoe.

He demonstrated for me how the lenticular screen
goes over the interlaced photo, and did so with an 8 by 10 image that he
proudly showed me
was taken by David Burder, apparently from a Nimslo he had modified to 8
lenses. Mr. Leung
claimed that not only did he provide lenticular processing using all 4
images, he can set up
for up to 12 images at only a "small" extra cost. The examples he had on
display were pretty
damned good, especially some back-lit commercial work he'd done.

I'm not a lenticular shooter, just posting for the benefit of the group, so
this shouldn't
be seen as an endorsement or anything.
