I kind of remember something similar. There was a movie where spaceflight
was involved, and two of the crewmembers were an older math professor type and
his young, brilliant (and beautiful) female student. They got into some
kind of problem, and had to figure out (by hand) some kind of complex
mathematical solution (retro burn or something). They came out with
different answers, and the older mail professor insisted that his solution
be used. Guess who turned out to be right? It looked like they would all
be toast until the final resolution. I kind of think it involved him
stepping out a air lock to lighten to load or something since he had
miscalculated the answer.
Does anyone have a clue as to the name of this? Probably a late 50's/
early 60's sci fi movie...
To keep on subject - seems like they might have been doing photo-recon
of the moon or something. They *might* have had a Realist along :-)
