Fifties looks

I too have a Revere 33 and love it's looks. I'm even getting to the point where
I find the Realist Camera beautiful as well. (As for the red button viewer, I've
always loved it. I took it apart once for a friend to show him the light bulb
and reflectors, and he said it spoiled the magic, seeing how simple it was
inside).

My latest obsession with looks however is in the Viewmaster line. I recently
acquired an almost mint condition Stereomatic 500 projector. It is, without a
doubt, a true work of art. The colors still seem contemporary. The brushed
aluminum knobs and general attention to looks AND function--I could go on. And
that tank of a camera, the Viewmaster Personal, to own one and use one is to
love it. I didn't know how much I loved it until I seriously thought about
selling it. When I finally got the projector, I realized finally, that the
Viewmaster was really NOT a toy, but a serious stereo camera. (PS-does anyone
have a Viewmaster projector case in decent condition for sale? Mine is living in
a cardboard box. :(
