Michael Kaplan asks:

For those of us unfamiliar with 3D TV videos, could you describe briefly
how this system works, and what equipment is needed to view the videos?
Thanks in advance.

Equipment that is needed:

The system is marketed by 3D TV Corporation of San Rafael
(http://www.stereospace.com). The basic system, for $145, consists of a
stereo visor (LCD shutter glasses), stereo driver, a demo 3D video tape and a
DC adapter. Tapes are available in NSTC, PAL, 8mm, Hi8mm or S-VHS.

How Does It Work?

The glasses you wear have shutters that are synchronized to the 3-D tape in
your VCR. On your television screen, the tape displays the left-eye component
of a stereoscopic image alternating in quick succession with the right-eye
picture. Each lens of the glasses shutters on and off, so that each eye
receives the proper image to create a 3-D impression.
