Dan's 3D.expo feedback

(Note: Dan is having trouble posting at the moment, so he
asked me to post this to photo-3d for him - Joel.)

OK... EXPO II notes from Dan Shelley (via Joel...)

Due to a pending trip to have some corrective work done on my eyes (wish it
had been done before I got the expo so I could really enjoy Dr. T's viewer...
[my first realist viewer experience...]) I was rushed to get thru the expo in
two evenings. It has been on it's way to Canada since last Friday.

Some notes I jotted down:

I thought the Bio's and self portraits were fun... This was a good idea, and
should be continued! When you see it, you will notice that I did not have
either in there, but that is because my original submission was lost in the
mail, and I had trouble just getting some pairs together to submit before the
mailing deadline...)

Although many, many , many good shots are in the expo, some grabbed me more
than others, and I wanted to let the photographers know that... (forgive any
name typos please!)

Tim Maffia - "Tim with too much time on his hands"

Pat Ekker - "Hyper Tractor & Swather"

John Weiler - "JW1" or Hyper Mountains and Clouds (MY FAVORITE... Went back
to this one several times... WOW!!)

J. Bert Noel - "Chili Peppers" & "A different perspective"

Mark Poole - "Tree in House"

Becky Karas - "Forest Path"

Leroy Barco - "Kristen at Harvest"

Ken Luker - "Skull Valley, Utah" and "Longue View Estate Fountain" (Fountain
shot is excellent!!!)

Dave Worrell - "Ukak Gorge" and "Byron Glacier"

Christopher J. Helms - "La Cienega Springs"

Paul Lehman - "Japanese Sunken Garden"

Allan J. Carrano - "Curios White Tail" (Stunning...)

Dave Huddle - "Millerite & Pyrite" & "Toad on my finger"

Ron Doerfler - Window Shopping"

Martin Schub - "Hyperboloid" & "President Clinton" (What a nose on the
president... 3D sure enhances that thing! =) )

Melody Buchanan - "Summer Cat" (Another favorite!!!)

Dr. George Themelis - "3D by Dr. T.!" (Fun!) & "Peak Action"

Lauren E. Michaels - (didn't write the names down, but was struck by all
three in a row!)

Morris M. Keesan - "Bluejay on fire escape"

Of course this does not begin to mention all that I liked, just the most
exceptional ones... I also appreciated the chance to view some 3D video, and
see a finished Dr. T. viewer in action. Thanks to all that contributed! You
will enjoy it when it comes your turn to lose yourself in the box... =)

[Joel's note: The first person on the expo loop, Ray Hannison, has very
generously included a short 3D video and viewing glasses - thanks, Ray!!!]

A note - Notice how everything is in the box before you take it out, I
didn't, and it was a bit of a puzzle to get it all back... Thanks Joel for
sending this on to Photo-3D. [While I am away, you can still reach me at
{dshlley@xxxxxxxxxxxx} and I will get the mail.]
