NEW BUT NOT SO NEW RBT CAMERA
- From: P3D <JGoldenRRP@xxxxxxx>
- Subject: NEW BUT NOT SO NEW RBT CAMERA
- Date: Tue, 30 Apr 1996 09:30:41 -0400
In response to Shab Levy's response about new RBT cameras....via John B's
inquiry....here is whats up with RBT right now. For more info on the cameras
and projectors email me your mailing address and I'll get brochures out to
anyone interested.
John Bercovitz writes:
>>"I think there are various models of RBT available (at least >>used) and
one model anyway has lens spacing that is correct."
...then my pal Shab cried out:
>>"Where's Mr. RBT-USA when you need him?"... Where are you >>Jon, are you
back from your peregrinations yet?
>>RBT has apparently two new models with much shorter focal >>distances. Read
the review in the latest Stereoscopy magazine.
Well here I am....and always was.....except when I check in from FLA , via
email, from the home of a generous Macuser.
Response: The S1 camera is "sort of new, but not so new"...in fact we had one
at the RBT table in Atlanta. A small and easy to handle unit, the camera has
autofocus, with manual overide, motor drive-rewind/fixed-focus unit with
very high quality optics. It is available in stereobase distances of .59mm
or .45mm....great for close up work....and the .45mm has underwater
capabilities when used in conjunction with an optional waterproof camera
housing.
The RBT X2A series- a twin Ricoh unit with a choice of lenses that can be
built with traditional 65mm lens spacing....or a 75mm X2 Model B....provides
enhanced separation. X2's are motor drive, with auto bracketing, stereo
viewfinder....and there are different frame-pair options.
Enough said....if more information is required....leave your address and I
will send it to you. Thanks Jon Golden
