Virtualy unknown in the UK

I cheked at a Blockbuster store on my way home last night and the youngster
on the counter had never heard of Virtual boy . Let alone have any for sale
, did they ever get to the UK before their demise?. Looks like I will just
have to be content with my English made Tomytronic 3D games but they dont
have  interchangeable cartriges and I have not come across any new games
for some time. The ones I have are Thundering Turbo Sky Attack and Shark
Attack . Photo 3D some while ago but since winter 1988 were selling others
as well such as Planet Zeon Sky Fighter and Jungle Fighter but not Shark
Attack. Photo 3D were a sort of European German language version of Reel 3D
but I dont think they are still going. They described the Tomytronic games
as Antik (Antique?) going back to 1980 and no longer made but I have bought
all mine new for around 20 pounds sterling in the UK since having the
catalogue I have also come across the same ones second hand.   P.J.Homer
