Re: Lenticular 3-D




For me, the biggest problem with lenticular photography is the
dependence on highly specialized processing labs, which, historical,
have not been terribly stable.  If I knew that high-quality,
reasonably priced processing would always be available, I'd be much
more tempted to get a lenticular set-up for casual use.

Also, as has been suggested already, the "lines" or ridges of
lenticular material are distracting, and, in my opinion, lower the
quality of the image.  For large images and longer viewing distances,
this is less of a problem.  However, for typical 3x5 or 4x6 prints,
it's like having an image printed on corduroy.
