Airshow 3d

There is an airshow this weekend here in Saskatoon. The TV
news shows all have reports with one of the reporters going
along for the ride with the Snow Birds (Canadian Armed Forces
formation flying team, sort of like the Blue Angels in the US).
Today's paper had a cover story with a reporter going for a
ride a snapping a few nice photos.
So it makes me think about how I might get a ride on one of
these and get some wow 3d aerial photos. I'm not a reporter
but there is the idea of recording things for history. Another
angle might be to produce a small run of view master reels that
could be sold at the air shows. Someone on the list does small
runs of VM. Could they comment on run sizes and costs. Could
you dupe from Stereo Realist shots?
Regarding wow shots: the Snow Birds often fly with only a
metre (~= yard) of wingtip to wingtip separation. A shot during
a bank showing your own wing and another 2 planes plus the city
below would be great. Another wow shot might be when they
fly canopy to canopy.
Have there ever been any VM reels like this?
Thanks for listening - Greg E.
