vintage Staticmaster

As I recall, someone posted awhile back that their Staticmaster was still
working after 18 years. Actually, it's probably the brush that's working. 
With a 138 day half life for polonium, the effective lifespan of the
device, according to someone who posted to me, would be roughly 3 years.
At that point, the device is no longer radioactive for any practical
purposes. So to have a useful Staticmaster, it looks like you'd really
need to replace it every year or two. Unless of course it was made with
plutonium instead of polonium, in which case it probably still has a few
thousand years of film dusting left in it.  :)
