Although it has been a while, isn't there also a camera obscura in
Garden of the Gods, Colorado (near Colo Spgs.)? Again, from what I
remember it projected a pretty impressive panorama of the mountains in
the area.
Joel, am I remembering this right or is this just a rogue brain cell
that's somehow attached itself to my Colo Spgs memory?
######
No, I'm not Joel, but I can tell you that I think this has been
removed... I will have to check on Monday for sure, but last year, the
City Gov. took over control of the park, and revoked all the "Gift
shop" type contracts. They then built a new, impressive welcome center,
and opened their own gift shop... WITH NO MORE VIEWMASTERS!!! AUGH!!!
Anyway, I am not sure if the "camera" fell into that problem or not.
Will let you know for sure later.
