Actually, there is a stereo Polaroid camera. We have one at work.
Our security department uses it to make photo I.D. badges. The
camera has four lenses. The two top lenses are seperated by about
30 mm and the two bottom lenses are seperated by about 30 mm.
The instant print that comes out of the camera has two identical, cross
eyed viewable stereo pairs! Last week, I took a couple pictures with the
camera. I then started asking people if they were able to cross their
eyes. The third person I asked said she was able to. After about 10
seconds of instruction on how to cross eye free-view, the proverbial
"Wow!" was exclaimed. This camera even does away with that
pesky problem of having to look through a viewfinder. Instead, it
uses a visible beam of light that you put right on someone's forehead.
A specialty camera, yes, but still instant stereo.
