Realist Format?

A stereo format using a separate backlit Kodachrome chip for each eye?  
Sounds like the Kodaks, Realists, Verascopes et al are all really just 
modified View-Masters. This should clear things up. ;--)
(Till some self-styled expert (lots of THEM on this list ;--))tells us 
all that it was really Tru-Vu or something.)
