"Big Screen" projection -- looks good!

Thanks to good friend and local stereo photography enthusiast, Jim Motley, I
got a "70 in." projection screen. The useful width of the screen is
actually 64 in., make it 60 in. I set the screen for 7-p images which means
that Realist size slides project less than that. Still, a big difference to
my previous "50 in." screen which is actually closer to 40 in. useful image
width.
I tried the screen and it works great! While I will still use my 50" in
screen for projections at home, I will use the larger screen for public
shows. I plan a presentation at work around September. The larger screen
is the way to go.
My projector is a TDC 116 with 5 in. lenses. Works well! I only wish that
someone else could run the projector so I can sit closer to the screen and
enjoy the show. I think I am a darn good projectionist! I handle the TDC
projector very nicely, I am careful not to shake it, I feed one slide after
the other being careful to remove each slide properly. I always apply a
slight pressure on the slide carrier to make sure that it is well in place
while I am feeding the next slide. I am using the old type slide carrier
with the original 7-p apertures. No selectron changer. Just one slide at a
time. I feel more
comfortable like that.
If anyone is interested, I will have a very nice TDC 116 with 4" lenses and
case, all in excellent condition, cleaned and lubricated, for sale in the
NSA regional meeting on May 26th. As always, priced very reasonably...
