That is my experience with Kodalux as well. Granted I'm pretty much of a newbie at this 3-D stuff, but I haven't as yet had any problems with Kodalux-mounted stereo pairs that weren't entirely attributable to my own goof-ups. (Less than perfect exposure, focus, depth of field, etc. I've gotten too used to auto-everything cameras, I guess, and now going back to doing these things manually sometimes seems to overtax my slowing old brain.) 

As far as window and alignment are concerned, the Kodalux work looks fine to me. If there's any inaccuracy there, my eyeballs must wobble around enough to accommodate it. :-/
