Patrick, digest 1353
Patrick (and others)
Most 110v hardware goes with 60Hz (AFAIK - as far as I know)
Todays Europe is switching over from 220v/50Hz to 230v/50Hz
and gradually to 240v/50Hz in the next future.
What you need is a 'Verhuistransformator' (sorry for most of
you/us, but Patrick will understand (hope so ?!)). It is a
trafo which has 220v (230 or 240 if you wish)) as input, and
converts this to the common (USA) 110v. Those are easily
available in Holland (i.e. the Netherlands) and Belgium as
well, in most electronic shops. Patrick, contact me at
'pzuijlekom@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' if you want me to do some more
investigation. I've bought a trafo like this (100 watt) for
about Dfl. 70,- lately. They are available for much more power
(= wattage) if you like. 1000 watt is no exception.
Even Rheostats (variable trafo's) are easily obtainable over here.
Patrick, isn't it time that we talk [Flemish/Belgian/Dutch]
offline ? Obviously we are pretty close together (topo-wise)
I'm not a first-class stereo-highflyer, but what the heck !
