The crossed Pol. method was invented by Schulman in the '20s. An 
improved anaglyph method is currently being marketed by Edge Scientific. 
Both are simple to make, and very effective up to about 400x. The 
anaglyph is neat and easy for pix. My copy of the Schulman patent 
drawings is pretty chewed up. But, I can scan a drawing of the Edge. Can 
you uu-decode a jpeg?
