Homemade Macro Stereo

          As I posted last year, I consulted an optical engineer on
          converting a standard Realist Design into something
          approximating a Macro Realist. I have some raw numbers and
          sketches for such a project, as well as a few items from
          Edmunds Scientific that can approximate an initial optical
          path. I put quite a few hours and approx. $400 into this
          until I realized that I don't have the patience or
          craftsmanship to carry this design through. Likewise, I
          don't have the know-how or resources to manufacture such
          things (it'd probably be in the $300-$500 range to make each
          piece a quality item). Anyone with the time, money and
          resources can buy what I've accumulated for a pittance of
          what i've so far invested.
