close-up

I'm enjoying the close up posts-- it's one of my real fascinations.  I've
been using a modified Nimslo, which does quite well using a Cokin compact
adapter and +3 diopter (an invention of my friend, Ben). I was lucky
enough to get the prismatic close-up lenses George sold at his last odds &
ends offering(still in transit, so I can't report on them yet.) But the
real coup was the arrival yesterday of a Kindar Hyponar with a Piper
modified Vivitar variable closeup lens installed on an Exakta 2a. I'd
appreciate any advice on the use/limitations of the Kindar. 

Looks like it would be fun to build a Whitehouse style camera, and if 
anyone has actually done it and would be willing to share detailed 
information, I'd appreciate it (I've been reviewing the info in Ferwerda).
