As the C++ programmer might say: "You're thinking proceduraly again."
Categorizing "True" stereo as dual objective. That's the whole point.
Dual objective stereo is no more "True" that any other method. It's
just more obvious.
WE are the stereo devices, not the instruments throught which we
enhance our limited vision.
If anything is "True" stereo, it is "just looking."
The next candidate for "True" stereo would be anything which allows us
to percieve and/or interpret depth. - regardless of the method.
Turns out making a dual objective microscope for more than 10X is
too d*** hard, but if you use a single lens approach - viola! (or
is it cello! - there's always room for cello.)
That reminds me, do you know how you can tell if a cello is out of
tune?
-Someone is playing it.
What? Medication again? o.k...
