Re: Twin Camera Synchronization

I recently built a synchronizer for a friend. In this case we were
synchronizing 3 cameras for lenticular 3D. It was done electronically. One
camera was chosen as the standard . The shutters closures on the other two
were adjusted either forward or backwards in time with respect to the
standard in increments of .001 secs. An LCD display shows the delays on
each camera. To check the synchronization we took the backs off the cameras
lined them all up and adjusted the shutter closures till we saw a full
frame during release. A microprocessor was used to do all the display stuff
and timing. Fets were used as switches. I think they would be more
repeatable than relays. He will be going to the 3D convention in Buffalo if
anyone wants to see it there, I'll try to arrange it.
