I noticed the same thing. The effect of the Zerostat is much more
'dramatic', with the dust sometimes literally flying off the film chip.
The Staticmaster brush doesn't seem to 'remove' static so much as to
simply prevent the brushing action from creating static. There's definitely
a difference between it and a non-staticmaster brush, though. Just
don't expect the dust to go flying off on its own when you bring your
'nuclear-powered' brush near the film.
BTW, the Staticmaster brush comes with a registration card. You send it
back to the manufacturer with the date code from the cartridge, and they
send you a reminder when it's time to replace the radioactive element.
Presumably they want the old one back to recycle the precious metals.
I'll let you know when September 1997 rolls around. :-)
