Tricks, etc.
Hello all,
Well, I've been out there, experimenting with new films and flashes, and
finally squeezed all 28 pictures out of a realist roll with no throw-aways.
I shot a friends wedding, indoors and out, and all of the shots came out
well exposed and in focus with good color and good depth. (Yep, I used a
light meter, too). Now, however well exposed, not all of them were of great
interest but I got much satisfaction out of mounting this bunch, and the
bride and groom were appreciative. I've certainly come far from my first
roll (represented in the expo.)
Now, though I won't say I don't have more work to do with the regular stuff,
I'm ready to challenge myself with some close-up and trick work. So, If
anyone has the time or inclination, I'm in need of a photocopy of the
"Stereolusions" chapter of the Realist Manual (for which we can work out some
kind of small trade/repayment). Does anyone use the Kodak series V close-up
lenses in their Realist filter holders for close-up work? What kind of
results do you get? What close-up distances are do-able with these?
