Close-up filters

I am evaluating an Epson PhotoPC digital camera. The camera focuses from 
2' to infinity. The camera lens is equal to a 43mm lens on a 35mm camera. 
My question is "Can anybody out there, math wizards, tell me what the 
distance between lens and subject should be for a +1, +2, and +4 close-up 
filters." They are Tiffen filters. Tiffen was called and their tables are 
for other cameras, they have no idea....anybody?
