TDC Selectron Gate Hang-Ups

Help! Anyone using a TDC 116 with selectron? I just sold mine to fellow
listmember Michael D'Ambrosca and, unfortunately, the light gate on the
selectron changer seems to be hanging up....

I'm clear across the country, and can't just stop by after work with my
ratchet and oil can.

Basically, the slides insert correctly for viewing on screen, but you can
see the images moving into place as the assembly mechanism does it's thing.


>From the way he describes it, the part of the selectron which blocks the
light while you change slides does not move into position. How can we solve
this, short of buying a new selectron?

I'm hoping it's just a simple "lube job" that will fix it. Anyone else ever
have this happen?
