Michael, If the information I was given some time ago is correct, you can
use the condenser from a mono VM projector called the S1 (an early
die-cast machine) as a direct replacement in the Stereomatic 500. I bought
a blown-out S1 just to salvage the condenser as a spare. So if you have an
S1, pull the lens you need from that. If you're unable to locate the
lenses elsewhere, email me privately. One way or another, we can get your
machine back online. Be absolutely sure that any glass you mess with in
there is grease free prior to firing up the machine. Re the mirrors, I
don't think the 500 mirrors are even front surface type-- ought to be easy
enough to replace with something that will take heat...
