2x2 "Matched Projectors"

I currently hand-view my 2x2 stereo shots and am about to think 
about projection.

So a couple of questions for the experts ....

Assuming I go for 2 projectors that are the same model/make is it reasonable
for me to expect NO problems with mismatched lenses ? i.e. are current
lens production techniques able to produce identical lenses everytime ?

With dual projectors in a 'front room situation' with a 50 x 50 screen do
you run the projectors side by side or stacked ? and is there any keystoning
problems (either vertical or horizontal) ?

Are there any features that are considered essential i.e. fading, auto/manual
focus etc. ?
