Remember?  Hardly. :--)  Fortunately my stack of back issues of Stereo 
World has been kept close at hand during this whole Convention 
organizing thing, and I was able to find Vol. 20, Number 2 (May/June 
1993)rather quickly. On the cover is a picture of Dr. David Bassett 
with View-Master inventor William Gruber.

Yes, the panoramic camera in the article is the one recently described 
and the article was written by M. Dusariez himself.  The text is 
similar to what is posted, but there is a photo of the prototype, a 
cutaway front view of the 360 deg. Stereo Panoptic camera and an 
over/under pair taken with the camera.
