This whole discussion is quite irrelevant, however, because there's never been
the slightest hint of a suggestion that any of the people who quote the entire
digest prior to an unsub request--or who send their request to everyone in the
known universe EXCEPT listserv--has ever been originally subscribed to the list
unwillingly. They all seem to have felt that the group did not meet their needs
(in most cases probably because it wasn't discussing computer graphics--the only
"real" 3D) and so they have wanted to just wad it up and toss it on the roadside
where they stood instead of wasting ten or fifteen seconds researching how to
dispose of it properly.
