I mount my own Realist pairs so I don't know about the Dallas operation. But
I have a neat way of getting my Kodachrome across the river to the Kodalux
plant in Fair Lawn NJ for uncut processing. My local photo shop has a
messenger pickup every day to take their film to the Kodalux plant. They are
happy to drop my film mailers in their pouch, so I save the postage and the
2-3 days it would take the USPS to get my film mailer to it's destination.
The photo shop has no liability. They don't check the film into their
tracking system, but neither does the post office. They just take longer and
cost more. I often drop a roll on the way to work Monday and receive the
processed roll in Friday's mail. That makes for a happy weekend of mounting
new pictures!
