|Lamar Kennedy in Atlanta uses the Bolex 3D. The Geographic ads were run 
|for quite a long while, and seem readily available. The Bolex unit itself 
|could be found - until 2 or 3 years ago - on a fairly regular basis at 
|$300 - $500.

My dad had a unit, until he dropped it in the ocean on a trip. Unfortunately
that was before ANY stereo film was shot :-(

Of course, 16mm was VERY expensive to shoot. People who never used a film
camera don't realize (perhaps) that most "home movies" were extremely
quick (like 10 - 20 seconds) succession of differing shots (pre - MTV!).
Video cams really revolutionized this. I remember the first few times
I used a video cam, I had to keep reminding myself that holding down the
"shoot" button wasn't costing me $5 a minute...
