Realist Stuff

Wanted: "Realist Film Identifier". It's the little thing that that goes
over the lens and lets you put one picture of written information on
your film.

Also, after having received the leather case for the Realist I have
to say that it is probably the greatest thing you can give to your
camera. It's very tough, thick leather and fits well. It lets the straps
hang out and the front snaps off letting you take pictures quickly.
If you don't have it - get it!

Realist Loading Problem - Stupid Me:
Being new to the Realist, or any camera for that matter, I had read
the instructions carefully - or so I thought. I loaded the film and
started to advance it and waited for the ,"click", that would tell me
it was locked in place. The click never came. I advanced it about
5 shots and then decided to rewind it. I rewound it right back into
the film cartridge! I didn't even know you could. I took the cartidge to
a photo-shop and they put it in a machine that pulled the edge of the
film back out of it's cannister. When I got home I looked at my Realist
carefully and saw the problem. I hadn't placed the edge of the film, where
the perforations are, behind a little metal guide that sits in front of the
sprocket. It sure isn't going to get there BY ITSELF! And the instructions
say NOTHING of this!!! Stupid me - I had read the instructions ;-)
