Re: Any good places?
>From time to time, usually in vacation season, we see inquiries
to the list about whether there are any especially good places in a
particular locale or on a proposed route where one might take 3-D
pictures. Does it make sense to think of a place as being either
more or less ideal for three dimensional photography as opposed to
two dimensional?
It seems to me that almost any place that has photo opportunities is
susceptible of three-dimensional photos, and the photographer can
make judgements about the appropriate camera placement and
composition for either medium while on site. The question could be
reduced to, "what are the special or unique places along my planned
route that a tourist shouldn't miss." THAT, we can answer.
And since it would appear from the views in Expo2 that interesting
stereo photos can be taken of even un-spectacular things and places,
the inquiries could even be reduced to, "Here's where I'm going. Wish
me luck!" But I'm all for giving hints about what we think are the
must-see things along routes or in places we know.
