Mark Kearns could (and probably will) give you a more authoritative answer, but
it is my understanding that the 3D-MAXXX people are selling 3DTV units under a
license with Michael Starks. In any case, all of the alternate field movies are
compatible with the various viewers, including this one, the VR Surfer, and the
Virtual-iO glasses. The only concern is that the viewer be capable of switching
polarity. Most of the commercial movies are of one polarity, the output of the
Toshiba cameras and an odd few commercial releases are of the opposite polarity.
Most glasses I've seen have an "A-B" switch, but I understand that a few do not.
As for eyestrain, that is a personal situation suffered by some but not others,
and there's not a whole lot that can be done if your eyes can't handle it.
