Thanks for all the replies. I feel a little guilty
that I haven't done anything with my 'sick' Nimslo
last weekend. The weather here in Ontario was simply
too good. I preferred to go out with the working
FED and take some 3D pictures rather than to fight with
the electronic bug at home. As soon as there is
a climate change for worse I am taking my Nimslo  
apart.

So far I have verified all the easy steps with no
luck. As I mentioned before, the LEDs in the viewer
come up when the shutter button is pressed half way,
so the light measuring is functional. When the shutter
button is pressed completely, the shutters open, but
don't close until the button is released. My first
guess is that the part of the circuitry responsible
for the light strength dependent 'time-out' closing 
the shutters is not talking to the rest of the 
electronics.

I will let you know as soon as I find something
(though it may not be too soon).
