|will visit Utah. We'll arrive at Salt Lake City at Aug, the 17th, are 
|backpacking in the inner Grand Canyon for approx. one week and plan to 
|travel around in Utah for another 2 weeks.

Uh - Rainer - you *do* know that the Grand Canyon is in Arizona rather
than Utah, eh? Also - right now the Grand Canyon is *closed* (as of
a few days ago). Northern Arizona is having it's worst drought in
200 years - and temps of 110 to 115 have been seen at Phantom Canyon
Ranch at the bottom. The last I heard you can go about 1.5 miles
down Bright Angel Trial (South Rim) but that's it. 

Sorry - I don't want to be the bearer of bad news --

Still, if anyone has any suggestions about SLC - I'm gonna be thru
there at the end of the week and would be interested as well.
