I just wanted to note that the most memorable projection segment
I've seen occurred several years ago at the NSA con in San Antonio.
This was about the time of the Ken Burn's documentary on the Civil
War. The person who put together the projecton sequence for the NSA
show (sorry  - I forget who it was) copied stereoview cards into
35mm format, and they were projected via polarizers. The music from
the Burns documentary was used for audio, and as I recall there was
no narration.  It was truly stunning. The impact of those pictures
in 3D and large screen projection was incredibly stronger than were 
the pictures (some of which were the same) on the PBS/TV documentary.
It was amazing...
